Wandy Rodriguez no longer with Orioles
Starting pitcher Wandy Rodriguez "took his leave" and is no longer part of the Baltimore Orioles organization, Orioles' team executive vice president Dan Duquette said.
The Orioles signed Rodriguez to a minor league contract at the end of April, and he had been pitching in simulated games as he worked back into shape. He apparently has decided he would rather pursue another (at the moment) unknown avenue.
With the Houston Astros this spring, the 37-year-old southpaw held a 3.94 ERA and 0.88 WHIP across 13 2/3 innings.
