Boston Red Sox third baseman Travis Shaw will be on the bench Wednesday night against the San Francisco Giants.
Shaw got off to a great start this season, but he's batting just .198/.233/.337 over his last 90 plate appearances spanning 21 games. Josh Rutledge is going to get a turn at third base Wednesday versus the Giants.
Shaw owns a .277/.340/.477 slash for the season, with seven home runs and three stolen bases in 241 plate appearances. Our models currently project him to hit .261/.331/.467 with 13 home runs, two steals and a .340 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
