Travis Shaw will not start Wednesday night for Red Sox
Boston Red Sox third baseman Travis Shaw will be on the bench Wednesday night against the San Francisco Giants.
Shaw got off to a great start this season, but he's batting just .198/.233/.337 over his last 90 plate appearances spanning 21 games. Josh Rutledge is going to get a turn at third base Wednesday versus the Giants.
Shaw owns a .277/.340/.477 slash for the season, with seven home runs and three stolen bases in 241 plate appearances. Our models currently project him to hit .261/.331/.467 with 13 home runs, two steals and a .340 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
