Casey Schmitt sitting Tuesday for Giants
San Francisco Giants infielder Casey Schmitt is not in the lineup against right-hander Sonny Gray and the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday.
What It Means:
The Giants appear to be giving Schmitt the night off after he went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in Monday's series opener. J.D. Davis will shift to third base Tuesday while Blake Sabol takes over at designated hitter and bats seventh. Mitch Haniger will return to the lineup to play left field and hit fifth.
