Jose Ramirez (bereavement) returns Friday for Guardians
Cleveland Guardians infielder Jose Ramirez (bereavement) is back in the lineup against right-hander Carlos Carrasco and the New York Mets in Friday's series opener.
Ramirez missed the Guardians' three-game series with the Chicago White Sox while on bereavement. He will return to third base and bat third Friday. The Guardians optioned infielder Brayan Rocchio to Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding roster move. Andres Gimenez will drop three spots and hit sixth.
numberFire’s models project Ramirez ($3,300) for 9.8 FanDuel points on Friday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Guardians' implied total is 3.91 and the game total is 8.5. Carrasco has a 8.56 ERA and 1.61 WHIP this season, with a 12.3% strikeout rate and 12.3% walk rate.
