The Cleveland Guardians placed third baseman Jose Ramirez on the bereavement list Tuesday.
Ramirez can miss up to seven days. The Guardians recalled infielder Brayan Rocchio from Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding roster move. Gabriel Arias will replace Ramirez on third base and bat sixth versus right-hander Lance Lynn and the Chicago White Sox in Tuesday's series opener.
