Carlos Gomez is not starting on Saturday for Astros
Outfielder Carlos Gomez is not in the Houston Astros' starting lineup Saturday against the Athletics.
What It Means:
Gomez hasn't hit much since coming off the disabled list, collecting just two hits in 11 at-bats with seven strikeouts over that span. He wasn't in the lineup for Friday night's game either. Jake Marisnick will start in center field and bat ninth.
Gomez is slashing just .182/.239/.242 with zero home runs in 132 at bats this season. We project him to hit seven home runs and post a wOBA of .299 for the remainder of the season.
