Dodgers place Yasiel Puig (hamstring) on the disabled list
Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring.
Puig has been battling the injury all week, and the Dodgers decided he'd be better off with some extended rest. Scott Van Slyke was activated from the disabled list in a corresponding move and will take his place on the active roster.
In 198 plate appearances this season, Puig is hitting .237/.283/.360 with a .282 wOBA and 20 RBI's. He has also recorded five home runs and stolen four bases. We project him to put up a .311 wOBA with 11 more homers and six more steals over the remainder of the year.
