The Seattle Mariners racked up seven RBI singles in a nine-run seventh inning as they stormed back to overcome a 12-2 deficit in Thursday's 16-13 win over the San Diego Padres.
The Mariners scored five in the sixth to pull to within 12-7 before they mounted their epic final push in the seventh inning. In that frame, Kyle Seager hit a two-run single, which was followed by RBI hits off the bats of Dae-Ho Lee, Chris Iannetta, Stefen Romero, Shawn O'Malley, Nori Aoki and finally Franklin Gutierrez. Seager would finish the game with three hits and five RBI's -- his third consecutive game of at least three hits.
Seager is in the midst of an absolutely superb season, slashing .295/.369/.535 with 14 doubles, 10 homers and 38 RBI's in 225 appearances at the plate.
