Brent Rooker (hamstring) out for Athletics Wednesday afternoon
Oakland Athletics outfielder Brent Rooker (hamstring) is not in the starting lineup against left-hander Justin Steele and the Chicago Cubs in Wednesday afternoon's series finale.
What It Means:
Rooker is out of the lineup after being lifted early from Tuesday's game due to a tight hamstring. Tyler Wade will replace Rooker in left field and hit seventh. Rooker isn't expected to require a stint on the injured list.
