Mike Trout resting Monday morning for Angels
Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout is not in the starting lineup for Monday morning's series finale against right-hander Brayan Bello and the Boston Red Sox.
What It Means:
The Angels are giving Trout, Anthony Rendon, and Luis Rengifo the day off for rest. Brett Phillips will replace Trout in center field and hit ninth. Taylor Ward will replace Rengifo in left field and hit third. Jake Lamb will play first base and bat sixth while Gio Urshela will replace Rendon on third base and hit fifth.
