Logan Schafer inks minor league deal with Twins
The Minnesota Twins signed outfielder Logan Schafer to a minor league contract.
He's been assigned to Triple-A Rochester. Schafer was cut by the Washington Nationals in spring training. He hit .221 across 122 at-bats for the Milwaukee Brewers last year. The 29-year-old should see time with the Twins at some point this season.
Schafer has just 646 plate appearances in the big leagues and hasn't shown that he can do much at the plate. He owns a career .212/.286/.319 slash with a .269 wOBA and a .107 Isolated Power.
