Jimmy Paredes will bat third for Phillies on Thursday

Philadelphia Phillies utility man Jimmy Paredes is starting in right field and batting third Thursday versus the Milwaukee Brewers.

What It Means:

It'll be his first start with the Phillies following Wednesday's trade from the Toronto Blue Jays. Paredes had an .886 OPS in 17 plate appearances with the Blue Jays, and he tallied 10 homers and 42 RBI's in 104 games last season with the Baltimore Orioles. There may be some sneaky fantasy value here, especially if he's going to bat regularly in the heart of the order.

Our models currently project Paredes to hit .254/.312/.395 with three home runs and a .301 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
