New York Mets pitcher Hansel Robles left Wednesday's game against the Chicago White Sox with a sprained right ankle.
Robles was lifted on a one-out, 3-2 count in the 12th inning. According to New York manager Terry Collins, he caught one of his spikes on the mound while throwing a pitch, which led to the ankle tweak. Collins did not seem particularly concerned by the injury, and Robles could return in short order..
Robles stands at 0-3 on the year across 23 1/3 innings (25 appearances). He owns a 3.47 ERA and is whiffing 10.41 batters per nine frames this season.
