Hamstring strain forces Danny Santana out of Twins' matchup with Oakland

Minnesota Twins right fielder/short stop Danny Santana exited Monday's game against the Oakland Athletics in the seventh inning with a left hamstring strain.

What It Means:

Santana, who missed time with a right hamstring strain earlier this season, hurt his left hamstring while running to second base on a sacrifice bunt. It will be interesting to see if the Twins call up Byron Buxton if the injury requires a trip to the disabled list. Stay tuned.

Santana has 131 plate appearances this season and is hitting .258/.290/.347 with a .278 wOBA. He has 10 stolen bases on the year in 16 attempts.
