Pirates' Jordy Mercer gets day off
Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop Jordy Mercer is not in Monday's lineup against the Miami Marlins.

It's just a routine day off. Sean Rodriguez will start at shortstop and bat eighth.
In 201 plate appearances, Mercer has a surprisingly strong .277/.355/.347 slash line, though it's an empty one. He has just a .295 wOBA, and one home run and stolen base each.
