Miami's Giancarlo Stanton (side) out again Monday
Miami Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton (side) is out of the starting lineup again on Monday against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Stanton was able to take live batting practice Sunday, but the Marlins will give his sore right side at least one more day of rest. Cole Gillespie will start in right field and bat seventh Monday night against the Pirates. Marcell Ozuna is hitting cleanup.
Stanton's power has been on display this season -- he has 12 home runs and a .266 Isolated Power -- but is slashing just .214/.326/.481 with a .344 wOBA in 182 plate appearances. Our models currently project him to hit .248/.350/.516 with 25 home runs and a .366 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
