Austin Jackson (turf toe) out of Tigers' lineup
Chicago White Sox center fielder Austin Jackson (turf toe) is out of the starting lineup Monday against the New York Mets.
J.B. Shuck will start in center field and bat fifth in the Memorial Day game versus Mets right-hander Matt Harvey. White Sox manager Robin Ventura said he's hoping Jackson will be able to avoid the disabled list. He'll get treatment for the turf toe on Monday.
Jackson is hitting .259/.316/.353 with 18 RBI's and two stolen bases in 189 plate appearances this season. Our models project him to slash .258/.317/.382 for the remainder of the year, while recording seven moon shots and 37 RBI's with 12 steals.
