David Wright (neck) could be headed to Mets' disabled-list

New York Mets third baseman David Wright (neck) may need a disabled list stint, manager Terry Collins said Monday.

What It Means:

Wright is out of the Mets' starting lineup again on Monday due to renewed neck discomfort, and he's apparently not making much progress. Ty Kelly is starting at third base and Wilmer Flores is starting at first base Monday afternoon against the Chicago White Sox.

Wright is slashing .226/.350/.438 with seven home runs, 14 RBI's and three stolen bases, to go with a .345 wOBA in 164 plate appearances this season. Our models currently project him to hit .254/.351/.406 with 10 home runs, 37 RBI's, six steals and a .330 wOBA in 366 plate appearances over the remaining course of the season.
