Cleveland Indians catcher Yan Gomes is absent from the Indians' lineup Friday.
It appears to be a simple day off. Chris Gimenez will catch in Gomes' place.
Gomes is hitting .177/.216/.377 in 139 plate appearances this season while recording six home runs and 22 RBI's. Our models currently project him to slash .233/.281/.413 with 12 home runs and a .294 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
