Yankees' Chasen Shreve has sprained left AC joint
New York Yankees reliever Chasen Shreve has been diagnosed with a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder.
Shreve apparently suffered the injury Wednesday while giving up three runs on two homers and a single as the Yankees fell to the Toronto Blue Jays. He's already been placed on the 15-day disabled list. It's probably going to be a lengthy absence for the lefty reliever.
The 25-year-old Shreve has a 4.10 xFIP and 20.3 strikeout percentage in 19 innings pitched this season. Our models currently project him to record a 4.14 ERA and a 22.4 strikeout percentage over the remaining course of the season.
