New York Mets closer Jeurys Familia picked up his 16th save of the season Wednesday afternoon against the Washington Nationals.
Familia worked around a pair of singles to preserve the Mets' two-run lead. He struck out one on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old closer has a 2.01 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 20.00 strikeout percentage across 22 1/3 innings. He hasn't blown a save in 23 appearances this season.
