Kevin Jepsen notches fourth save of season for Twins

Minnesota Twins closer Kevin Jepsen earned his fourth save of the season Wednesday in the Twins' 7-5 win over the Kansas City Royals.

What It Means:

Jepsen worked around a Jarrod Dyson one-out double to preserve the Twins' two-run lead. It was only the 12th win of the season for Minnesota. Jepsen is operating as the club's fill-in closer with Glen Perkins (shoulder) sidelined indefinitely, but there haven't been many opportunities for saves.

Jepsen now has a 5.59 ERA in 18 1/3 innings this season. In 20 total appearances on the year, he has three blown saves in addition to the four successful ones.
