Padres officially without Wil Myers (wrist) on Wednesday
San Diego Padres first baseman Wil Myers (forearm) is not in the lineup Wednesday.
Myers felt discomfort in his troublesome left forearm late Monday while picking up a baseball. It's not considered a serious setback, but the Padres will play it cautiously just in case. Brett Wallace is at first base Wednesday versus San Francisco Giants righty Jake Peavy.
Myers is slashing just .218/.227/.345 with one walk and 17 strikeouts in 87 at-bats this month. His overall slash this season is .262/.290/.432 with seven home runs, six stolen bases and a .310 wOBA in 193 plate appearances. Our models currently project him to hit .247/.319/.405 with nine home runs, nine steals and a .315 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
