Mike Moustakas (knee) absent for Royals again Wednesday
Kansas City Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas (knee) remains absent from the starting lineup Wednesday versus the Minnesota Twins.
Moustakas has now missed three straight games with a knee contusion that he suffered Sunday in a collision with Alex Gordon. He's still considered day-to-day. Cheslor Cuthbert will start at third base and bat seventh Wednesday against Twins' righty Tyler Duffey.
Moustakas is slashing .240/.301/.500 with seven home runs and a .341 wOBA in 113 plate appearances this season. Our models currently project him to hit .269/.325/.454 with 14 home runs and a .334 wOBA in 369 appearances at the plate over the remaining course of the season.
