Philadelphia Phillies infielder Cesar Hernandez is not in the starting lineup Wednesday afternoon against the Detroit Tigers.
What It Means:
Hernandez was dropped from the second spot to the seventh spot in the Philadelphia batting order on Tuesday night and went 0-for-2 with a walk and a strikeout. Andres Blanco will start at second base and hit seventh Wednesday versus Tigers right-hander Anibal Sanchez.
Hernandez is slashing just .248/.301/.301 in 169 plate appearances this season while logging nine RBI's and two stolen bags.
