Yasmani Grandal is not starting on Sunday for Dodgers
Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Yasmani Grandal is not in the starting lineup on Sunday against the San Diego Padres.
Grandal fouled a ball off his ankle on Saturday and was forced to leave the game. A.J. Ellis will start behind the plate for the Dodgers on Sunday and hit eighth.
Grandal is off to a slow start in 2016, slashing .196/.275/.371 through 97 at bats. He has three home runs, but owns a strike out rate of 24.8 percent, which is his highest since 2014.
