Randal Grichuk (back) not in Friday's lineup for Cardinals
St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Randal Grichuk (back) is not in the starting lineup Friday against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Grichuk left Thursday game with lower-back tightness. He's considered day-to-day. Jeremy Hazelbaker is in center field Friday. The Cardinals also have Matt Carpenter at first base, Ruben Tejada at third, and Jedd Gyorko at second over Kolten Wong.
Grichuk has struggled this season, slashing .218/.300/.395 with a .304 wOBA in 140 plate appearances. He does have five home runs and three stolen bases, however. Our models currently project Grichuk to hit .252/.319/.435 with 12 home runs, four steals, and a .323 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
