Josh Donaldson out of Blue Jays' lineup Wednesday
Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson is out of the starting lineup Wednesday versus the Tampa Bay Rays.
Jimmy Paredes will start at third base and bat sixth against Tampa Bay right-hander Jake Odorizzi. It's just a day of rest for Donaldson, who managed to avoid a suspension when punishments were handed down Wednesday following Sunday's benches-clearing brawl with the Texas Rangers. Jose Bautista is batting second on Wednesday.
Donaldson is slashing .253/.355/.500 with 9 home runs and a .367 wOBA in 183 plate appearances this season. Our models currently project him to hit .280/.378/.530 with 26 home runs and a .387 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
