Oakland's Josh Phegley (knee) lands on the disabled list
Oakland Athletics catcher Josh Phegley has been placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 10, with right knee inflammation.
Phegley said Monday he was feeling a lot better after a cortisone shot, but the Athletics didn't feel he was ready quite yet. He'll be eligible to return next week. Stephen Vogt and Matt McBride will share catching duties for now.
In 38 plate appearances this year, Phegley owns a .281 wOBA. He recorded a .323 wOBA in 243 trips to the plate in 2015.
