Oakland Athletics catcher/first baseman Stephen Vogt (thumb) is out of Monday's lineup against the Texas Rangers.
What It Means:
Vogt took a pitch off his left thumb when he tried to stop a wild pitch on Sunday. X-rays came back negative and he's considered day-to-day. Josh Phegley (knee) is out again Monday, so Matt McBride is starting behind the plate.
In 130 plate appearances this season, Vogt is hitting .238/.269/.369 with a .278 wOBA. He's tallied three home runs and seven RBI's to-date.
