Starling Marte to be placed on the Pirates' paternity leave list
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Starling Marte was placed on the paternity leave list.
Marte is allowed up to three days off to celebrate the birth of his child. Utility man Alen Hanson has been called up to take his place on the active roster.
Marte is boasting a .384 wOBA with a .326/.374/.479 slash across 155 plate appearances so far this season. His 12 stolen bases rank second in the majors, while he has also accounted for three homers and 14 RBI's.
