Oakland Athletics catcher Josh Phegley (knee) is out of the A's starting lineup again on Saturday against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Matt McBride will start at catcher and Stephen Vogt will serve as the A's designated hitter in the evening tilt at Tampa Bay. Phegley needed a cortisone shot Thursday to combat inflammation in his right knee. He remains day-to-day.
We project Phegley for just 149 plate appearances for the rest of the season, with a .308 wOBA.
