Rangers ink Kyle Lohse to minor league deal
The Texas Rangers signed pitcher Kyle Lohse to a minor league contract.
Joel Sherman of the New York Post hears Lohse will make $2 million with $1.5 million more available in incentives if he makes it to the majors.
Lohse is 37 and is coming off a season where he held a 4.43 SIERA over 37 outings -- 22 starts -- for for the Milwaukee Brewers. However, the Rangers aren't exactly swimming in rotation depth. It's unclear at this point whether Lohse will go right into Triple-A Round Rock's rotation or if he might stick around in extended spring training for a while.
