David Peralta (hip) scratched Tuesday for Rays, Jonathan Aranda joins
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder David Peralta (hip) has been scratched from the starting lineup on Tuesday against right-hander Nathan Eovaldi and the Boston Red Sox.
Peralta was initially penciled in to play left field and bat third, but the Rays have decided to give him another day to rest his sore right hip. Jonathan Aranda was added to the lineup in Peralta's place to play left field and bat fifth. Ji-Man Choi has been moved up two spots to hit third.
Aranda has a $2,100 salary on Tuesday and numberFire’s models project him for 8.5 FanDuel points. Since mid-July, Eovaldi has only managed a 16.6% strikeout rate over his last seven starts, and he's allowed 1.30 home runs per nine innings in that span.
