Gleyber Torres (illness) out again Tuesday afternoon
New York Yankees infielder Gleyber Torres (illness) is not in the starting lineup versus right-hander Jon Gray and the Texas Rangers in Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader.
Torres was scratched from Monday's lineup for an illness, but the Yankees might just be holding him out with a few other starters for the front end of the twin-bill. Oswald Peraza will cover the keystone again and bat sixth.
Peraza has a $4,000 salary on Tuesday's single-game slate and numberFire’s models project him for 9.0 FanDuel points, which makes him our third-best point-per-dollar value among hitters in the contest. Per our MLB Heat Map, Gray's strikeout rate this season (26.3%) is tied for fourth-highest among Tuesday's projected starters.
