Nick Castellanos resting Thursday for Phillies
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Nick Castellanos is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against rookie right-hander Javier Assad and the Chicago Cubs.
Castellanos went 3-for-4 on Wednesday, but he will sit for the day game after a night game. Matt Vierling will replace Castellanos in right field and hit ninth.
Castellanos has a $2,000 salary on Thursday and numberFire's models project him for 9.9 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Phillies' implied total (4.29) is second-highest in the majors today. Through his first 27 1/3 innings, Assad has recorded a 5.25 SIERA with a 13.6% walk rate and an 18.4% strikeout rate.
