Mark Teixeira out of Yankees' lineup on Wednesday
New York Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira (neck) is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Kansas City Royals.
Teixeira missed Tuesday's game with neck spasms and is being held out for at least one more game. Dustin Ackley slides in at first base and will hit fifth.
Teixeira is slashing .202/.325/.298 with three home runs and a .289 wOBA in 123 plate appearances this season. Our models currently project him to improve his play over the remaining course of the season, forecasting him to hit .243/.346/.449 with 18 home runs and a .343 wOBA.
