Joey Votto sitting Wednesday for Cincinnati
Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday night's clash with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Jordan Pacheco will start at first base and bat seventh versus Pittsburgh right-hander Juan Nicasio. Something could be up with Votto, who rarely sits against a righty, but is could also just be simple day off.
He's sporting an underwhelming .234/.360/.387 batting line in 33 games this season. We project him to pick it up, forecasting Votto to post a .358 wOBA with 18 homers and seven steals the rest of the way.
