Alexei Ramirez (hamstring) out for Padres' in early game
San Diego Padres shortstop Alexei Ramirez is not in the lineup for Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Chicago Cubs.
Ramirez made an early exit Tuesday night with cramping around his left hamstring. He's had hamstring issues in the past, so the Padres may have to play this safe and hold him out for both games of the twin bill. Adam Rosales is at shortstop in the early-afternoon tilt.
Ramirez is on pace for a career-low .268 wOBA. We project him to hit .262/.301/.368 with a .290 wOBA over the remainder of the season. To date, he has 11 RBI's and two stolen bases in 126 plate appearances.
