Arizona's Jake McCarthy receives Thursday off
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Jake McCarthy is not starting in Thursday's contest against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
What It Means:
McCarthy will watch from the bench after Jordan Luplow was announced as Arizona's starting right fielder.
According to Baseball Savant on 222 batted balls this season, McCarthy has recorded a 5.4% barrel rate and a .308 expected weighted on-base average.
