Baltimore Orioles outfielder Austin Hays is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's series opener against right-hander Justin Verlander and the Houston Astros.
Terrin Vavra will move to left field in place of Hays and hit sixth. Rougned Odor will enter the lineup to play second base and bat eighth.
