Reds' Spencer Steer (eye) scratched Wednesday
Cincinnati Reds infielder Spencer Steer was scratched from Wednesday's lineup against the Boston Red Sox due to an eye infection.
Steer was initially lined up to play shortstop, but he will remain out of the lineup for a second consecutive game. The Reds added Stuart Fairchild to the lineup in place of Steer as the No. 8 batter.
Fairchild is numberFire's fourth-best point-per-dollar value among hitters on Wednesday. He has a $2,100 salary and our models project him for 11.3 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Reds have the fifth-best implied total (4.80) in the majors today and the over/under for the game (10.5) is a run higher than any other total.
