Reds' manager claims Raisel Iglesias' shoulder is pain-free
Cincinnati Reds pitcher Raisel Iglesias (shoulder) is "compeltely pain-free," manager Bryan Price said Tuesday.
Iglesias, on the disabled list since April 25 with a right shoulder impingement, will have a checkup with team doctors on Wednesday. "We’re hoping there’s a throwing program that will be set up, and he can start here relatively soon," Price told the Cincinnati Enquirer on Tuesday afternoon. It sounds like he could be back by the end of May, but shoulder injuries tend to be pretty unpredictable.
Iglesias had a 3.49 ERA and 23.58 strikeout percentage over his first 28 1/3 innings this season for the Reds, going 1-1 in five starts.
