Krol owns a 4.38 ERA with 14 punch outs over 12 1/3 innings this season in Triple-A, holding left-handed batters to a .136/.136/.182 line. The 25-year-old was acquired from the Detroit Tigers over the winter in the Cameron Maybin deal.
Krol pitched 28 innings in relief for the Tigers in 2015, posting a 4.68 xFIP and 20.2 strikeout percentage, just about league average. He owns a career 4.27 xFIP across 88 innings.
