Taylor Walls idle for Rays on Thursday
Tampa Bay Rays infielder Taylor Walls is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Kevin Gausman and the Toronto Blue Jays.
Walls is absent from the lineup for the second time in three games. Wander Franco will cover shortstop and hit third while Manuel Margot works as the Rays' designated hitter. Jose Siri will replace Walls in the lineup to play center field and hit ninth.
Siri has a $2,200 salary on Thursday and numberFire’s models project him for 8.0 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Rays' implied total (3.32) is fourth-lowest in the majors out of 16 active teams today.
