Starlin Castro (rib cage) out of Yankees' lineup Monday
New York Yankees second baseman Starlin Castro (rib cage) is out of the starting lineup Monday against the Kansas City Royals.
Castro was pulled from Sunday's game against the Boston Red Sox after suffering a rib cage injury on a dive into third base in the seventh inning. Ronald Torreyes is starting at second base and batting ninth for the Yankees versus Kansas City right-hander Chris Young.
Castro is slashing .296/.333/.463 with three home runs and a .345 wOBA through his first 29 games with the Yankees. Our models currently project him to slash .269/.307/.392 with 9 home runs and a .301 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
