Chicago Cubs infielder Zach McKinstry is not in the starting lineup for Friday afternoon's series opener against left-hander Carlos Rodon and the San Francisco Giants.
Nick Madrigal will take back over on the keystone and in the leadoff spot after McKinstry covered both roles on Thursday.
