Ke'Bryan Hayes on Pirates' bench Wednesday in Game 1
Pittsburgh Pirates infielder Ke'Bryan Hayes is not in the starting lineup against right-hander Chris Bassitt and the New York Mets for Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader.
Hayes will grab a seat for the early game after he went 1-for-3 with a run, a steal, and a walk on Tuesday. Rodolfo Castro will move to third base in place of Hayes while Bryan Reynolds works as the designated hitter. Jack Suwinski will start in center field and bat cleanup while Greg Allen enters the lineup to play left field and bat eighth.
Castro has a $6,000 salary on Wednesday's early single-game slate and numberFire’s models project him for 8.0 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Pirates’ implied total is 3.39 and they are +215 underdogs.
