Washington Nationals catcher Keibert Ruiz is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Ken Waldichuk and the Oakland Athletics.
Ruiz will rest after starting the first two games of the series. Riley Adams will catch for Paolo Espino and hit eighth.
